The Other Shore
Egg tempera on panel

There are three recurring themes present in my watercolors, drawings and egg temperas of this river:
l. A small island surrounded by water, perhaps about to be inundated by the flood,
2. Crossing over to the "other shore" of salvation,
3. A branch or branches mysteriously appear at the side or top of the paper. Perhaps the roots of these branches originate in a celestial realm, occasionally descending to generate new life for earthbound nature. This is reminiscent of God's hand reaching down to generate the divine spark of life within Adam.
